Job summary

Wire 3 is seeking a Field Technician in Daytona Beach, FL to install, maintain, and troubleshoot fiber optic networks for residential and business customers. You will be among the first points of contact, ensuring a seamless installation and a superior customer experience.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED (college/technical training a plus), valid Florida driver’s license, and ability to work in varying weather, heights up to 30 feet, and flexible schedules including weekends.

Qualifications

• Teamwork and customer service skills are required.
• Basic computer and home networking knowledge; AV systems experience is a plus.
• Proficiency using drills, cable cutters, and hammer drills.
• Follow safety guidelines and wear PPE.
• Able to work in various weather and environmental conditions.
• Strong work ethic with neat, efficient task execution.
• Able to read prints and follow color‑coded routing.
• Excellent customer relations and problem resolution.

Responsibilities

• Perform cable testing and documentation for all media types.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot fiber optic systems and networks.
• Handle fiber-related tasks including cable pulling, suspension, fiber termination, fusion splicing, and testing per NEC/local regs.
• Collaborate with team to deliver high-quality service to business and residential customers.
• Document work performed at each customer site.
