Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Fiber Planning Engineer to support FTTH/OSP network design, expansion, and optimization. The role partners with engineering, construction, and utility teams to review designs, assess capacity, and aid budgeting and capital planning.

Qualifications

3+ years in fiber planning, OSP engineering, or related experience.
Strong understanding of feeder and distribution network design principles.
Experience with project estimating, budgeting, or capital planning.
Experience with AI tools to improve planning or analysis.

Responsibilities

Develop feeder and distribution network plans for FTTH expansion.
Review and validate fiber engineering designs and architectures.
Support route planning, capacity analysis, and network optimization.
Collaborate with engineering, construction, permitting, and utility partners.
Assist with project estimating, budgeting, and capital planning.
Coordinate with contractors and engineering service providers to ensure success.
Analyze network data to identify efficiencies and improvements.
Leverage AI and other tools to enhance planning, reporting, and workflow.
