Job summary

Forged Fiber is seeking a Distribution Fiber Planning Manager to lead a team of network planners in Denver. This in-person role focuses on planning oversight for FF37’s distribution fiber network, driving structured training and cross-functional partnerships to ensure effective planning and execution.

The role emphasizes leadership, strategic planning, and collaboration with executive teams to meet targets while managing capital expenditures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 7+ years related experience or 5+ years related experience with master’s degree.
• 4-6 years inside & outside plant experience in telecommunications with in-depth knowledge of ISP/OSP equipment and designs or the equivalent in training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of fiber-to-the-home network planners, ensuring weekly throughput targets are achieved.
• Drive onboarding and capability development of new planners by ensuring structured training and ongoing support to enable effective F2 network planning execution.
• Establish and sustain strategic cross-functional partnerships with Network Implementation, Operations, Product, Architecture & Engineering, Finance, and Regulatory teams to ensure alignment and effective execution.
• Collaborate with peer planning organizations to define, standardize, and operationalize planning frameworks, guidelines, and performance expectations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing opportunities to enhance productivity, efficiency, and scalability at both the individual and system levels RSRFF37.
