Job summary

Telecon-Design-USA is seeking an experienced Fiber Construction Project Manager to own FTTH builds from planning to invoicing across the market. You’ll allocate work to crews, coach OSP Engineers, and ensure every job stays on schedule and budget while billing accurately.

Expect site visits and office work, with heavy use of spreadsheets, trackers, and change orders. 5+ years in OSP telecom and 2+ years in project management are required; travel to job sites is expected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of outside plant (OSP) telecommunications experience with fiber blueprints, underground drilling and aerial placement.
• 2+ years of project management experience, including managing project budgets.
• Ability to read and interpret utility plans and general contracts.
• Strong Excel skills; ability to build trackers and dashboards for budgets, timelines, materials, and footages across multiple projects.
• Experience with Sitetracker, Salesforce, or similar project management software.
• Ability to train, delegate, and proactively manage the work of others.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong relationship-building across levels and partners.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Plan and distribute work to internal and subcontractor field crews, coordinating across teams to meet timelines.
• Manage day-to-day work of OSP Engineers and provide coaching and training in the field.
• Keep projects on budget and verify invoices against the budget.
• Capture field change orders and ensure accurate, timely billing for additional work.
• Manage ongoing work on clients’ existing fiber networks alongside new FTTH builds.
• Maintain project timelines according to client expectations.
• Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, managers, and municipalities to remove obstacles.
• Ensure health and safety policies are followed on every project.
• Perform other duties as needed.
