A leading proprietary trading firm is looking to hire an FTR Trader to join its growing power markets team. The firm has built a strong presence across US power markets, combining deep market expertise with a highly collaborative and data-driven trading environment.

In this role, you will work closely with traders and analysts to identify and execute opportunities across congestion markets, with a focus on developing and refining FTR strategies. This position is well suited to individuals with a strong understanding of grid dynamics, market design, and a hands-on approach to trading and research.

Your role:

• Trade FTRs and congestion products across multiple ISO markets
• Develop and refine data-driven trading strategies across power markets
• Analyze grid dynamics, transmission constraints, and market structure to identify opportunities
• Manage risk across positions and contribute to overall desk performance
• Collaborate with traders, analysts, and technology teams to enhance strategy development and execution

Experience/skills required:

• 3+ years of experience in FTR trading, congestion analysis, or related power market roles
• Strong understanding of US power market design, transmission, and grid operations
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis and research
• Experience developing and evaluating trading strategies across full lifecycle
• Strong quantitative and analytical skillset, with an understanding of statistical methods
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, collaborative trading environment
