Primary Purpose

As a Cake Decorator, your responsibilities include preparing and decorating cakes, taking and completing orders, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. You will also ensure proper food safety and sanitation practices are followed.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Review work schedule, check equipment and supplies, and prepare for duties at the start of each shift.
• Mix, color, load, and frost cakes; decorate cakes with colored frosting.
• Take, complete, and store orders in the bakery cooler.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, tools, equipment, display cases, floors, and counters.
• Track and record loss.
• Demonstrate proper food safety and sanitation work habits.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and have valid identification.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Complete a 60-day introductory (probationary) period.
• Meet ergonomic, physical, and performance standards.
• Ability to learn and use necessary equipment and tools.
• Ability to perform all job functions safely and maintain regular attendance.
• Wearing proper attire and shoes is required.
• One year of work experience or technical training preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Shift hours: minimum 4-hour shifts or more.
• Lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Stand for 55% of the time, walk for 45%.
• Category IV physical demands: lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs, static pull up to 20 lbs.
