In this role, you will develop foundational skills for an entry-level management position in retail banking. As part of this structured one-year program, the trainee will learn to champion First Security Bank’s leadership principles as presented through Bank Better University’s Leadership Training. The trainee will gain a strong understanding of retail management practices through hands‑on training focused on branch operations, regulatory compliance, and branch sales performance. Additionally, participation in various leadership and procedural training courses is required throughout the program. This position requires on‑site work and the ability to travel/float between branches within the designated market.
Regularly Scheduled Hours/Week: 40+ hours per week | Monday – Friday 8:00am-5:30pm | Saturdays 8:00am-12:30pm (typically 1 per month) | *Extended working hours may be required.
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities. The trainee will observe management decision‑making, gain exposure to employee performance evaluation and discipline processes, and develop the ability to assess situations and make informed decisions.

Possess sufficient mobility to work in a standard office setting. Perform repetitive hand, arm, wrist, and finger movements while handling currency, documents, and/or office equipment. Substantial time may be spent on the telephone, operating computers, reaching, sitting, and/or standing while occasionally stooping, kneeling, or crouching. The employee must have the ability to speak and hear well enough to carry on customer interactions, conversations, and presentations both in person and over telecommunications. Have near/far visual acuity to identify customers, currency, and reading materials in printed or electronic formats. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds. Ability to hold a valid driver's license with access to a vehicle that can be used for business travel purposes.

The duties of this position require strong independent problem‑solving skills to manage multiple projects and their accurate and timely completion. Able to interact with and lead others in a calm and patient manner; maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all situations. Able to analyze information, evaluate options, and make sound judgements in a timely manner. Strong mathematical competency related to currency, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. This position also requires the ability to read and interpret documents, draft instructions or presentations, and articulate complex information in written or oral form.
