The primary duties include filling prescriptions, assisting customers, unpacking totes, answering phones, and responding to inquiries within set limits. Certification at the state or national level is required and must be maintained.

Responsibilities

1. Review work schedule, check equipment, and prepare supplies at shift start, ensuring PPE compliance.
2. Move, open, unpack, and shelve incoming totes and supplies.
3. Clean shelves, check inventory levels, and monitor expiration dates.
4. Assist customers and answer phone calls.
5. Verify customer identification for product purchases as required.
6. Complete prescription processes, including data entry and dispensing.
7. Maintain necessary state or national certifications and renew as required. Immunizing certified technicians will also administer immunizations.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Meet minimum age requirements by state.
• Successfully pass background check and drug screening.
• Ability to read, write, communicate, and understand to perform job duties and comply with policies and safety regulations.
• Complete a 60-day introductory (probationary) period.
• Meet ergonomic, physical, and performance standards.
• Learn to operate required equipment and tools.
• Perform all job functions safely.
• Wear proper clothing and shoes as approved.
• Hold and maintain valid licenses, certificates, or permits as required.

Physical Requirements

• Minimum shift: 4 hours, depending on business needs.
• Job involves continuous activity.
• Lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Stand 55%, sit 0%, walk 45%.
• Category IV: lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
• Max static pull: 20 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of company policies and procedures.
• Compliance with all pharmacy laws and standards.
• Knowledge of MSDS for materials used.
• Completion of Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Right-to-Know, HIPAA, and other pharmacy-specific training.
