Description

Homestead Village is a thriving non-profit, CARF-CCAC accredited, Life Plan Community located just outside vibrant Downtown Lancaster. We are seeking highly skilled, enthusiastic, and passionate Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to join our compassionate community as we enhance independence and dignity for all our Residents.

Location

Main Apartment Building - Supportive Services; up to 98 residents on program.

Base Pay

Determined based upon years of experience; starting rate with no experience or med-tech certification is $15.75, plus applicable shift & weekend differentials.

Shift/Weekend Differentials
  • $1.50 additional from 3:00pm-11:00pm
  • $0.75 additional from 11:00pm-7:00am
  • $1.25 additional on Weekends (Saturday & Sunday)

Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Establish respectful relationships with residents.
  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living as per Resident Support Plan.
  • Maintain CPR, AED, and First Aid certification and administer as required.
  • Perform laundry and light housekeeping to ensure a safe living environment.
  • Facilitate resident activities to meet social, educational, spiritual, and recreational needs.
  • Assist with dining, meal preparation, and service.
  • Escort residents to appointments, outings, and off-campus events.
  • Encourage proper hydration and nutrition.
  • Perform rounds to verify safety.
  • Respond to call bells and requests for help.
  • Follow infection control procedures.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability.
  • Ask questions to understand tasks and resident needs.
  • Maintain a safe, healthy, and clean environment.
  • Adhere to Confidentiality Policy/HIPAA.
  • Accurately document and understand documentation.
  • Follow and contribute to resident support plans.
  • Report pertinent resident information.
  • Use effective communication skills.
  • Practice teamwork with staff and departments.
  • Follow attendance and punctuality policies.
  • Attend staff meetings and training.
  • Accept direction from supervisors and leadership.
  • Maintain professional appearance and identify yourself properly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
