Job summary

Prince William Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking a Full-Time PACU RN to join our fast-paced, multispecialty team. The RN will assess post-operative patients, monitor vitals, and ensure timely discharge in our ambulatory setting.

The ideal candidate has an unrestricted RN license, 1–3 years PACU experience, BLS/ACLS certification, and strong knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical care. Ambulatory center experience is preferred and excellent communication with staff, patients, and

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• 1–3 years' PACU experience.
• Ambulatory surgical center experience strongly preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed.
• Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The PACU RN is a Registered Nurse that provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The PACU RN provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. The PACU RN supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The PACU RN reports to the Manager of Peri-Operative Services.
