Primary Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to manage department tasks such as entering orders, scheduling work and production, supervising and training team members, receiving, storing, and stocking items, checking dates, updating prices of expired items, and performing all related department duties.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Review work schedule, check equipment and supplies, comply with PPE requirements, and prepare for duties at the start of each shift.
2. Unload trucks, break down loads, assemble U-boats according to department guidelines, and distribute to the floor.
3. Stock shelves, manage backstock, and maintain store presentation.
4. Break down, fold, and bail cardboard.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to communicate effectively and understand company policies and safety regulations.
• Meet ergonomic and physical requirements for the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Meet company performance standards, including regular attendance.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate necessary equipment and tools.

Physical Requirements

• Shift hours: 8 hours or more, depending on business needs.
• Job cycles: continual maximum effort.
• Lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Stand 55%, walk 45%; sit 0%.
• Category IV: lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
• Maximum pull static: 20 lbs.

Preferred Requirements

• Understanding of company policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of MSDS information for materials used.
• Completion of Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Right-to-Know, and Key Carrier Certification training.
