Join to apply for the FT Mechanic/Technician Apprentice role at Southeastern Freight Lines.

As a FT Mechanic/Technician Apprentice, you will be trained and mentored in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining all equipment used by the Company in the transportation of and handling of freight. This includes, but is not limited to, diesel over-the-road and city tractors, straight trucks, forklifts, trailers, company vehicles, and converter gear. This is an entry-level apprenticeship position.

You will learn to:

  1. Track work to meet service schedules and customer commitments.
  2. Troubleshoot and analyze failures in trucks, tractors, forklifts, and related equipment.
  3. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or other breakdowns.
  4. Perform routine maintenance like lubrication, brake adjustments, and tire inflation.
  5. Repair or rebuild equipment as needed.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, a valid Driver's License, and the ability to pass background and drug tests. Prior experience in Diesel Engine Repair, Automotive Diagnostics, Welding, or ASE Certification is preferred but not required. This role offers a pay rate of $26.66-$28.73 per hour, full-time, on the third shift.
