Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Florence Radiology is seeking a full-time Mammography Technologist to join the team. You will operate mammography equipment, maintain QA and regulatory compliance, and provide patient care across all demographics under Radiologist supervision.

The ideal candidate holds ARRT Mammography certification, SCRQSA radiologic licensure, and CPR certification, with one year of mammography experience preferred.

Qualifications

• ARRT Mammography certification required; CPR certification required.
• Licensed radiologic technologist by SCRQSA; documented mammography training.

Responsibilities

• Perform all mammography procedures per ACR, TDH, MQSA and department policies.

Job Description

The Mammography Technologist, under the direction of the Radiologist and Radiology Director, performs all Mammography procedures in accordance with ACR, TDH, MQSA, state regulations, and departmental policies. Possesses highly technical skills to operate sophisticated equipment for the above-mentioned examinations. Responsible for QA maintenance, regulatory compliance, survey preparations, and competencies. The Technologist must exhibit expertise in patient care based on needs appropriate for all patient demographics. Other duties as deemed necessary.

Education

Graduate of an approved, accredited A.R.R.T. program. Documented mammography training.

Experience

One year of diagnostic radiology experience is preferred, and at least one year mammography experience is required, proving initiative and sound judgment required for utilizing and maintaining established guidelines of care by the MQSA.

Licenses / Certificates

• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
• Mammography certification required (ARRT-M)
• Licensed as a radiologic technologist by the SCRQSA
• CPR certification required.
