Job summary

The City of Coral Springs is seeking a Maintenance Worker to support Mullins Park and related facilities. The role focuses on organization, sanitation, and general maintenance to ensure smooth daily operations.

Work hours are Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–3:30 pm, with potential evenings, weekends, and holidays for special events, and duties include setup/breakdown, pool and gym area maintenance, furniture handling, and minor repairs as needed.

Job description

Under direct supervision, the purpose of the position is to provide organization, sanitation, and general maintenance in the assigned area of the assigned Department. Employees in this classification perform general and preventative maintenance work. Position is responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of supplies in the assigned areas. The full-time Maintenance Worker position is critical for the daily park operations of Mullins Park on Monday - Friday 7:00am until 3:30pm. Mullins Park consists of 62 acres that includes over a mile in walking paths, playground, basketball / tennis courts, sand volleyball court, baseball fields, football / soccer fields, and three rental hall facilities. This position may be assigned to other Parks locations as needed based on department operations.

Days/Hours: Monday through Friday, 7 AM - 3:30 PM (may include nights/weekends/holidays/special events)

High school diploma or GED preferred. Demonstrated ability to fulfill the physical requirements of the work; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Previous experience in facilities maintenance and working knowledge of tools and equipment related to maintenance and repair work of facilities. Valid Florida driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as office or meeting and training rooms, e.g., use of safe work place practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire and building safety regulations, and traffic signals when driving.
