Qualifications

  • Current LPN or RN license required.
  • Experience in patient care, preferably in correctional facilities.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends.

  • Deliver patient care according to nursing standards and guidelines.
  • Administer medications and evaluate patient progress.
  • Perform emergency interventions and physical assessments.

Location: Alamance County Detention Center

Open Position: FT LPN or RN Days

Schedule: 12 hr Day Shift Rotation 6a - 6p w/Alternating Weekends

Sign-on & Retention Bonus

Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To

  • Deliver patient care, evaluate symptoms, reactions, and progress of patients, chart results, establish nursing plans and work under the boundaries of State Scope of Practice and Guidelines, and Physician/Provider(s)
  • Administer prescribed medications in accordance with nursing standards & correctional regulations
  • Follow through with established treatment plans
  • Perform emergency intervention, physical assessment and critical thinking
