Job summary

Renascent Loveland LLC is hiring a full-time Houseman to support the housekeeping department and maintain the appearance of public areas throughout the property. You will assist room attendants, deliver guest requests, and ensure hotel standards are met, contributing to a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and team members.

Responsibilities include cleaning public areas, restocking supplies, handling guest requests, and reporting safety hazards.

Department: Housekeeping
Reports To: Executive Housekeeper / Housekeeping Manager
Status: Full-Time

Position Summary

The Houseman is responsible for supporting the housekeeping department by maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of public areas, assisting room attendants, delivering guest requests, and ensuring hotel standards are met throughout the property. This position plays a key role in providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for guests and team members.

Requirements

Public Area Maintenance

• Clean and maintain all public areas, including the lobby, hallways, elevators, stairwells, fitness center, public restrooms, meeting spaces, and exterior entryways.
• Empty trash and replace liners in public areas.
• Vacuum, dust, mop, and polish surfaces as needed.
• Monitor public areas throughout the day and address cleanliness concerns promptly.

Housekeeping Support

• Deliver linens, towels, amenities, and supplies to housekeeping carts and storage areas.
• Transport soiled linens to the laundry area.
• Assist room attendants with stripping rooms and removing trash when needed.
• Restock housekeeping closets and supply rooms.

Guest Service

• Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests.
• Deliver extra towels, linens, pillows, cribs, rollaway beds, and other requested items.
• Maintain positive guest interactions and provide friendly service at all times.

Property Upkeep

• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and damaged equipment immediately.
• Assist with deep-cleaning projects and special cleaning assignments.
• Help maintain exterior areas, including sidewalks, entrances, and designated smoking areas.
• Support seasonal property needs, including snow removal assistance and entryway upkeep when applicable.

Safety and Compliance

• Follow all Marriott brand standards and hotel policies.
• Comply with OSHA, safety, and chemical handling procedures.
• Maintain proper security of guest rooms and housekeeping storage areas.
• Use cleaning equipment and supplies safely and responsibly.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or hotel experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Schedule

• Full-time hours, including weekends and holidays as business demands require.
• Typical shift: Morning or daytime hours, with flexibility based on occupancy and operational needs.
