Job summary

Schulte Hospitality Group in Atlanta is seeking a dynamic Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. You will supervise housekeeping operations, ensure suites and public areas are clean and well-maintained, and coach a team of associates to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

The ideal candidate has leadership experience in housekeeping, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to train staff on safety protocols. You should be available for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years in a leadership housekeeping position.
• High School education required; higher education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect suites and public areas to ensure cleanliness and good repair.
• Provide supplies, equipment, and uniforms to associates.
• Train staff on safety standards and enforce them.
• Perform housekeeping duties and open/close shifts as needed.
• Notify management of maintenance issues and potential repairs.
• Act as Manager on Duty when required.
• Available for nights, weekends, and holidays.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspects all assigned suites and public areas to ensure furnishings, equipment, linens, etc. are clean and in good repair.
• Ensure that all associates have proper supplies, equipment and uniform including nametag, gloves and goggles.
• Train associates on safety standards and enforce those standards on a consistent basis. Identify associates engaging in unsafe behaviors and retrain them appropriately. Complete accident investigations and take steps to prevent future accidents.
• Performs all housekeeping duties necessary, including making beds, vacuuming and cleaning.
• Verifies and updates status of discrepant rooms throughout the shift.
• Randomly selects assigned rooms to ensure cleanliness.
• Perform opening and closing shift duties.
• Notifies GM and/or Chief Engineer of maintenance repairs necessary.
• Monitor cleanliness of hotel including parking lot and exterior entrances.
• Acts as Manager on Duty when required.
• Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
• Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of two (2) years in leadership Housekeeping position
• Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred

KNO WLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Basic computer skills
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members
• Excellent time management skills
