Job summary

St. Peter's Health Partners in Wilton, NY is seeking a CT Technologist II for a full-time, day shift in Medical Imaging. You will perform CT procedures under the Chief of Medical Imaging, upholding the Mercycare Mission and department standards.

Requirements include an AAS in Radiologic Technology, ARRT, NYS license with injection certification, Siemens equipment experience preferred, and at least two years of CT work. Cardiac CTA experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• AAS degree in Radiologic Technology required.
• Minimum of 2 years' CT technologist experience.
• Current ARRT registration and NYS license with injection certification.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and records a complete clinical history for examinations.
• Evaluates requests for appropriateness and references radiologist if needed.
• Instructs patients about the exam being performed.
• Communicates post-procedure information effectively.
• Maintains ALARA radiation safety for patients and staff.
• Completes documentation for patient care and RIS requirements.
• Assists in teaching new personnel.

What you will do:
Abiding by the Mercycare Mission and values, under the direction of the Chief of Medical Imaging, the CT Technologist II performs all CT procedures in accordance with department standards.

Responsibilities:

• Obtains and records a complete clinical history pertinent to examination requested.

• Evaluates requests for appropriateness, refers concerns to coordinator and/or radiologist.

• Instructs patients as to the nature of the exam being performed.

• Effectively communicates information regarding post procedures.

• Ensures proper radiation protection measures are taken to provide an ALARA environment for patients, co-workers and self.

• Responsible for understanding the ALARA program and actively participating in dosimetry program.

• Effectively completes all required documentation related to patient care, imaging procedures and RIS requirements.

• Demonstrates proper use of positioning devices and other equipment necessary to provide safe, accurate, and complete exams.

• Assists in the instruction of new personnel.

What you will need:

• AAS Degree in Radiologic Technology

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a CT Technologist

• Current ARRT registration, NYS license required and certification to Inject

• Experience on Siemen's equipment preferred

• Cardiac CTA experience desirable

Pay Rate: $37.60- $52.26

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
