St. Paul’s Assisted Living is seeking an experienced and dedicated Cook to join our culinary team. Shift: Evening Shift

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals following established menus, dietary guidelines, and residents' preferences.
  • Ensure food is cooked and served at safe temperatures and in compliance with Serve Safe standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Dietary Manager and team to plan menus that meet nutritional requirements and dietary restrictions.
  • Monitor inventory levels, assist with food ordering, and manage waste to minimize costs.
  • Train and guide kitchen staff as needed to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Engage with residents and staff to foster a welcoming and respectful atmosphere in the dining area.
  • Address special dietary needs or allergies with attention to detail and care.
Qualifications
  • Serve Safe Certification (required).
  • Proven experience as a cook in a residential or healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, nutrition, and food safety standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
