Job summary

Planet Fitness in Hershey-Hummelstown, PA is hiring a Cleaner for the third shift (9pm-5am, Monday-Thursday). Starting hourly wage is $13 with raises at 180 days, 1 year and every 6 months thereafter.

Responsibilities include cleaning and sanitizing gym equipment, locker rooms, restrooms, and more to keep a clean, safe club environment. Employee benefits include PTO, 401K match, health/dental/vision, life insurance, and EAP, plus a free employee Black Card.

Qualifications

• Custodial experience preferred.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly complete cleaning checklist daily to ensure all tasks are completed.
• Clean and sanitize fitness equipment and gym floor.
• Clean and sanitize locker rooms, restroom facilities, shower facilities and locker area.
• Properly dispose of trash; stock supplies around club and in locker rooms.
• Report broken or missing amenities or equipment to the Club Manager.

Cleaner Responsibilities

As a member of our staff, the Cleaner plays a significant role in helping to transform the lives of club members by providing a clean, sanitized and safe club environment.

• cleaning and sanitizing the locker rooms, restroom facilities, shower facilities and locker area
• properly dispose of trash stock all supplies around club and in locker rooms
• report broken or missing amenities or equipment (toilets, faucets, showers, hair dryers, gym equipment, etc.) to the Club Manager

Qualifications

• Successful prior custodial experienced preferred
• High School diploma/GED preferred
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Physical Demands

• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Continual standing and walking during shift
• Frequent climbing, balancing, kneeling and crouching during shift
• Continual reaching with hands/fingers/arms during shift
• Will encounter cleaning chemicals during shift
