Job summary

Planet Fitness Altoona is hiring a full-time Cleaner for the third shift. Starting wage is $12 per hour with scheduled increases at 180 days, 1 year and every 6 months thereafter based on anniversary date.

Your duties include maintaining a clean, sanitized gym, restocking supplies, and assisting members with check-in while upholding our safety standards and commitment to a Judgement Free fitness experience.

Qualifications

• Custodial experience preferred.
• High School diploma/GED preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly complete cleaning checklist daily to ensure all tasks are completed.
• Clean and sanitize fitness equipment and gym floor.
• Clean the locker rooms, restroom facilities, shower facilities and locker area.
• Dispose of trash and restock supplies around club and in locker rooms.
• Report broken or missing amenities or equipment to the Club Manager.
• Assist members with check-in, sales, black card spa.

Cleaner Responsibilities

As a member of our staff, the Cleaner plays a significant role in helping to transform the lives of club members by providing a clean, sanitized and safe club environment.

• Thoroughly complete cleaning checklist daily to ensure all tasks are completed. This includes:
  • cleaning and sanitizing fitness equipment and gym floor
  • cleaning and sanitizing the locker rooms, restroom facilities, shower facilities and locker area
  • properly dispose of trash stock all supplies around club and in locker rooms
  • report broken or missing amenities or equipment (toilets, faucets, showers, hair dryers, gym equipment, etc.) to the Club Manager
  • Assist members with check-in, sales, black card spa

Qualifications

• Successful prior custodial experienced preferred
• High School diploma/GED preferred
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Physical Demands

• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Continual standing and walking during shift
• Frequent climbing, balancing, kneeling and crouching during shift
• Continual reaching with hands/fingers/arms during shift
• Will encounter cleaning chemicals during shift
