The role involves patrolling campus property, monitoring for theft or rule violations, responding to calls from faculty and students, and performing doors/windows/gate checks.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Qualify to obtain Iowa security license; assistance provided.
• Ability to perform outdoors work in all weather; walk long distances and stairs.
• Weekend availability.
• Willing to undergo pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Monitor campus to prevent theft and enforce rules.
• Perform rounds of doors, windows, gates; respond to calls.
• Additional duties as assigned by site supervisor.

Per Mar is hiring for a full-time college campus security officer. First shift with days off yet to be determined. 40 hours-per-week at $18.50 per hour.

Qualifications:

• 18 years of age or older
• Possess a valid driver's license, with a driving record that falls within company policy.
• Qualify to obtain a security license for the State of Iowa, with no disqualifying criminal convictions. We will assist in this process.
• Ability to handle physical nature of the position. Must be able to walk long distances, up and down stairs, and be outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Weekend availability.
• Must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Monitor campus property to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules. Warn violators of campus policies & regulations.
• Perform rounds examining doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security.
• Answer calls for service from faculty, staff, and students.
• Additional duties as assigned by the site supervisor.
