Friendship Centers of Emmet County - Council on Aging is hiring a Bus Driver to serve on the Transportation Department. The role involves operating a 15-passenger lift-equipped bus on scheduled routes, helping passengers board and exit, and ensuring safe, courteous transport.

You will engage with riders, perform basic vehicle inspections, keep records, and assist with Meals on Wheels back-up duties as needed, contributing to a welcoming mobility service for the community.

Qualificações

• Michigan Chauffeur's license required or ability to obtain one.
• High school diploma required.
• Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
• Ability to follow instructions, work safely, and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to meet background check, physical, and drug/alcohol testing requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Drive a 15-passenger, lift-equipped bus on scheduled routes.
• Assist passengers boarding and exiting, operate the lift, and secure mobility equipment.
• Adapt driving to road, traffic and weather conditions.
• Communicate with dispatch and complete vehicle inspections, trip and fare records.
• Keep vehicle clean and welcoming for riders.
• Transport groceries or packages to a client’s door when needed.
• Train to serve as backup Meals on Wheels driver and dispatcher.
