FT Associate Asset Protection - Security - 0320
Asset Protection Associates are responsible for the protection of the company's retail store assets by investigating the loss of assets, including merchandise, money and property. This role is responsible for preventing loss and shrink within their assigned stores through monitoring, investigating, surveillance and other LP tactics, including apprehending shoplifters.
Responsibilities
- Detect and resolve internal and external theft incidents.
- Primary contact for safety and security issues for stores in the area of responsibility.
- Tour stores daily, identifying deficiencies and executing corrective action as necessary.
- Maintain awareness of high-risk areas to reduce or control merchandise losses.
- Review shrink best practices and execute shrink reduction strategy drivers on store visits; check areas such as rotation, backroom organization, and follow-up areas assigned by supervision.
- Review shrink reports and assist in reacting to issues and opportunities seen in assigned stores.
Policies & Training
- Assist in the implementation and communications of company policies and procedures related to safety and security training programs.
- Ensure a store environment safe from theft and provide a secure destination to shop.
Work Environment & Safety
- Ensure stores are secure for associate safety from theft internally and externally.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures related to safety and security training programs.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Driver's license and transportation required; travel throughout multiple stores in a district and/or region
- Up to one year of related experience
- Knowledge of criminal laws applicable to various state and local jurisdictions
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all investigation-related information
- Basic skills in MS Office
