Summary

Asset Protection Associates are responsible for protecting company retail store assets by investigating loss of merchandise, money, and property. The role focuses on preventing loss and shrink within assigned stores through monitoring, investigation, surveillance, and other loss prevention tactics, including apprehending shoplifters.

Responsibilities

• Detect and resolve internal and external theft incidents.
• Serve as the primary contact for safety and security issues for stores in the area of responsibility.
• Tour stores daily, identify deficiencies, and execute corrective action as necessary.
• Maintain awareness of high-risk areas to reduce and control merchandise losses.
• Review shrink best practices and implement shrink reduction strategy drivers during store visits.
• Analyze shrink reports and assist in reacting to issues and opportunities in assigned stores.
• Assist in the implementation and communication of company policies and safety and security training programs.
• Ensure a store environment is safe from theft, providing a secure destination for shoppers.
• Assist in communication of safety and security policies to associates.
• Ensure stores are secure for associate safety from internal and external theft.

Qualifications
