Job summary

Greenville Health & Rehabilitation Center in Greenville, NC is seeking an Assistant Director of Nursing (RN). This salaried role focuses on leadership, guidance, and supervision of the nursing team to deliver compassionate, high-quality resident care and uphold our standards of excellence.

As the Assistant Director of Nursing, you will support the Director, develop plans to meet goals, ensure regulatory compliance, recruit and mentor staff, and drive continuous improvement in patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina.
• BSN preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Nursing with leadership and oversight of the nursing team.
• Assist in developing and executing plans to meet departmental goals and objectives.
• Monitor patient care delivery and outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
• Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and staff development.
• Collaborate with HR to recruit, onboard, and retain top nursing talent.
• Conduct audits to identify improvements and enhance patient care and safety.
• Perform other duties to provide exceptional care to residents.

As the Assistant Director of Nursing, you’ll play a vital role in our ability to continuously provide Care Beyond Compare through your exceptional leadership, guidance, and supervision of the nursing team. You'll be instrumental in fostering a culture of excellence, ensuring adherence to protocols and best practices, and empowering our nursing team to deliver compassionate, high-quality care to every patient. What You'll Do

• Support the Director of Nursing in providing leadership and oversight to the nursing team.
• Assist in developing and executing plans to meet departmental goals and objectives.
• Monitor patient care delivery and clinical outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards, including state and federal regulations.
• Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, professional growth, and employee engagement.
• Partner with Human Resources to recruit, onboard, and retain top nursing talent.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify opportunities for improvement and implement strategies to enhance patient care and safety.
• Perform other duties as required to provide exceptional care to each resident.

What You Need

• Active unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in North Carolina.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in nursing practice and patient care.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and lead a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• This is a salaried/exempt position.
