Job summary

Slidr is hiring evening and overnight drivers for FSU Safe Ride in Tallahassee. You will give students a free, safe ride home, be a friendly, dependable presence, and represent Slidr on campus.

Drive clean, all-electric vehicles and use the driver app to accept rides and plan routes. Shifts are evenings/overnights with flexible hours around the academic calendar, designed for students who want meaningful, safe transportation after dark.

Qualifications

• Valid Florida driver's license is required.
• At least 22 years old.
• 3+ years of licensed driving experience in the US.
• Clean driving record.
• Available for evening and overnight shifts.
• Able to pass a background check.
• No CDL required.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, reliable rides around the Florida State campus and nearby areas during evening and overnight hours.
• Deliver friendly, high-quality service to every rider.
• Use the driver app to accept ride requests and take the best route so riders get home on time.
• Keep your vehicle clean and safe throughout your shift.
• Run a quick vehicle check at the start of each shift and flag any issues to the team.
• Stay in touch with management and teammates about anything that comes up on the road.

About Slidr
Slidr is an electric microtransit company that brings easy, on-demand rides to the communities we serve across Florida and North Carolina. In Tallahassee, we run FSU Safe Ride, the evening ride service for Florida State University students. Students request a ride through the app and we pick them up and get them home safely, all in clean, all-electric vehicles. Because you drive our vehicles, you never pay for gas or insurance, and you never put miles on your own car.

The role

We are hiring evening and overnight drivers for FSU Safe Ride in Tallahassee. We are looking for people who put safety first, enjoy being around others, and want to be a real part of campus life after dark. Our drivers are the face of Slidr. You will give students a free, safe ride home in the evenings, lend a hand to anyone who needs a little extra help, and be a friendly, dependable presence students count on.

A typical shift

Start at the FSU Safe Ride hub where our vehicles are parked and charged. Log in to the driver app. Run the vehicle checklist to make sure everything is good to go. See a problem? Let the team know. They have your back. Give the interior a quick clean, since a tidy vehicle makes for happy riders. Let your team know you are ready, then start accepting ride requests. Need help during your shift? Driver support is a call away. At the end of the night, bring the vehicle back, give it a quick clean, plug it in to charge, and you are done.
