Job summary

CGS Federal (Contact Government Services) is seeking a Field Service Representative Engineer to embed with government customers and deploy a production-grade data and application platform in mission-critical environments.

You will work at the intersection of software engineering, data integration, and real-world operations, turning fragmented data into live systems that support decision-making.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with Python, PySpark, Java, JavaScript, SQL or similar languages.
• Familiarity with data systems, APIs, and distributed architectures.
• Ability to operate independently in customer-facing, on-site environments.
• Strong problem-solving in ambiguous, real-world settings.
• Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Active TS/SCI Clearance or eligibility.
• Engineering background in CS/Math/Software Engineering/Physics/Data Science.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain a distributed data and application platform in production.
• Integrate data from disparate source systems while preserving lineage and governance.
• Build, customize operational applications, workflows, and analytics.
• Design and maintain data pipelines for real-time and batch use cases.
• Troubleshoot high-impact issues in live environments.
• Work with users to translate needs into technical solutions.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to improve platform capabilities.
