Griffith Foods is hiring an FSQS Manager at our Lithonia, GA facility to assure safety and quality across products and processes. You will lead a department of 9 quality and 15 sanitation personnel and collaborate with the Plant Management Team on FSQS goals and continuous improvement.

You will oversee HACCP planning, data review, and reporting to management, while fostering a culture of safety, ownership, and accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of plant food safety and quality experience.
• Willingness to be onsite 5 days a week in Lithonia, GA; up to 10% travel within the US.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage 4 direct reports at Lithonia facility.
• Plan and oversee analysis, inspection, and QA to assure safety and quality.
• Develop FSQS goals aligned with US objectives and HACCP plans.
• Present technical information to the management team and keep them informed of issues.
• Maintain current HACCP and Food Safety Plan; lead HACCP Team.

Title: FSQS Manager

Location: Onsite in Lithonia, Georgia 5 days a week

Compensation Range: $103,000 - $135,000 / year plus bonus

Griffith Foods is hiring an FSQS Manager to be responsible for assuring effective systems are implemented to provide for safe, wholesome, authentic, and quality products that meet Griffith US FSQS, customer, and regulatory requirements. This is your opportunity to create an environment to develop and maintain a strong culture of quality and food safety plantwide and be a member of the Plant Management Team. You will lead, coach, and develop a department including 9 quality and 15 sanitation personnel. As an FSQS Manager, your responsibilities will include: Leading and managing 4 direct reports at our Lithonia Georgia facility. Plans and oversees the analysis, inspection, design, test, and/or integration to assure food safety and quality of products, components and processes. Develop plant and departmental FSQS related goals and objectives consistent with US goals. Reviews data obtained during quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures. Keeps management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during quality activities and actions being taken to improve the situation. Prepares and presents technical and program information to the management team. Maintains current HACCP and Food Safety plan. Leads HACCP Team and assures all products are manufactured using a current, accurate HACCP and Food Safety Plan. The FSQS Manager position is well suited for you if you: Champion employee safety, food safety and quality culture Builds and sustains a culture of ownership and excellence by empowering team members, developing talent through coaching, and reinforcing accountability for individual and team performance Responsible for hiring, discipline, performance review and overall management of Plant Quality & Sanitation staff Drive continuous improvement at the local level through leading of projects to include but not limited to product testing, improved technology and training Have strong technical expertise in food safety, sanitation, analytics, environmental monitoring, compliance, and commercialization Are a visible manager on the production floor who connects with hourly and salaried employees.

Qualified candidates will have: Bachelor’s of Science, Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or a related degree. At least 5+ years’ experience in plant food safety and quality. At least 5 years’ direct people management including demonstrated leadership, coaching and development. Willingness to be onsite 5 days a week in Lithonia, Georgia. Willingness and ability to travel within the US up to 10% as needed for business purposes. Candidates must currently possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

There is also potential for a discretionary bonus, with a target of 12%. This bonus is based on personal & company performance and is not a guaranteed bonus plan.
