Job summary

The Chefs' Warehouse in Jessup, MD is seeking a FSQA Technician II to monitor production processes and ensure compliance with food safety standards.

You will inspect materials, test products, and help prevent contamination while supporting QA with documentation and corrective actions. This role emphasizes teamwork, reliability and attention to detail in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment with opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test raw materials to ensure vendor compliance with specifications and established procedures.
• As required, monitor current procedures to assure compliance to required specifications, reporting any findings to QA Manager for needed changes or adjustments.
• Put non-conforming product or unsanitary processing equipment on HOLD status.
• Perform technical operations such as taking and/or shipping samples, examining/analyzing product, recording results and taking appropriate corrective action.
• Assist with the completion of reports requested by management.
• Clean, maintain, and sanitize all equipment used in the Quality Control area according to established sanitary rules, regulations, and maintenance/calibration procedures.
• Assist HR with the recruitment, hiring and training of sanitation personnel.
• Deliver samples for testing to outside laboratories
• Perform all other duties as assigned
