Job summary

S&D Coffee in Conway, AR seeks a FSQA Tech I Lab Delta to support lab operations and product testing. The role focuses on maintaining compliance and ensuring product quality through thorough inspection, sample collection, and documentation.

You will work with the QA team in a fast-paced food manufacturing setting, performing analyses, managing samples, and assisting in shipping/logistics for the Micro Lab. The position offers full-time hours and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1–2 years’ experience with quality inspection, auditing, data collection, and testing.
• 6 months experience in a lab setting.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and office databases.
• Reading and speaking English.
• Bachelor's or Associate degree in science or quality technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lab housekeeping and sanitation.
• Manage shipping and receiving for the Micro Lab.
• Run errands including sample pickup and courier drops.
• Collect water and other outside lab samples.
• Perform finished goods analytical testing of PET products and pre-retort cans.

FSQA Lab Tech I is a detail-oriented and proactive Food Quality Lab Technician supporting lab operations and product testing. This role plays a key part in maintaining compliance and ensuring product quality through thorough inspection, sample collection, and documentation.

Job Duties

• Maintain lab housekeeping by managing waste, cleaning benchtops, cleaning carts, sanitizing biological safety cabinets, de-cluttering lab, other duties as assign, etc.
• Manage shipping and receiving packages for the Micro Lab
• Complete any errands including but not limited to sample pick-up (when needed), courier package drop-off, and any outside lab errands
• Outside lab sample collecting including water samples, etc.
• Finished Goods analytical testing of PET products and pre-retort cans

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years' experience with quality inspection, auditing, data collection, and testing.
• 6 months experience in a lab setting
• Experience and knowledge with Microsoft Office and Office-based database systems.
• Ability to understand department documents
• Ability to display sound logic and attention to details.
• Ability to communicate comfortably and work with co-workers in a team environment.
• Ability to follow a schedule, as well as verbal and written instructions.
• Read and speak English.
• Bachelors or Associate degree in a program in a science field or quality technology preferred
• Experience in food manufacturing preferred
• Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Sound Math skills e.g. Percent Calculations, averages, means, standard deviation etc.
• Respond quickly to information request from internal and external customers.
