Job summary

Actalent is seeking an FSQA Supervisor in Chicago to lead laboratory staff, manage audits, and ensure robust documentation for regulatory readiness. The role supports R&D and new vendor streams, driving quality and compliance across processes.

The ideal candidate has hands-on QA and lab experience, plus proven supervisory skills in a food industry setting. On-site contract-to-hire with day shift in a food facility.

Qualifications

• Internal auditing experience in a food industry setting.
• Hands-on QA and lab experience with proper documentation.
• Demonstrated leadership of staff or technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor two laboratory technicians.
• Oversee lab operations and ensure testing and QA activities meet procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Lead and support internal audits with documentation and CAPA follow-up.
• Maintain QA documentation and audit files for regulatory readiness.
• Coordinate waste water regulatory audits and improve related processes.
• Collaborate with R&D on feed-related projects and vendor stream evaluations.
• Ensure quality compliance and drive corrective actions across processes.
