Job summary

Actalent in Buena Park, CA is seeking an experienced FSQA Supervisor on a contract basis to support food safety and quality operations during a critical SQF audit period. The role acts as the primary floor QA resource, coordinating with QA Technicians and the Quality Manager to ensure compliance and timely corrective actions.

The position emphasizes GMP audits, review of PCQI records, and leading on-floor quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum PCQI Certification is required.
• Minimum HACCP Certification is required.
• 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in Quality Assurance or Food Safety.
• Experience supporting SQF audits is preferred.
• Experience with fresh/refrigerated/ready-to-eat foods is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day food safety and quality assurance support on the production floor.
• Serve as primary escalation point for QA Technicians before issues reach the Quality Manager.
• Review and approve quality documentation, including PCQI records.
• Conduct GMP audits and identify compliance gaps and areas for improvement.
• Support SQF audit preparation and on-the-floor execution during audits.
• Assist with investigations and corrective actions after audits.
• Mentor QA Technicians and maintain floor presence and visibility.
