Fresh Mark, Inc. in Massillon, Ohio, is seeking a detail-oriented FSQA Microbiology Technologist to support environmental monitoring and food safety programs. You will conduct sampling, manage swabs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive corrective actions.

Responsibilities include routine testing, documentation, and participation in audits and improvement initiatives. A strong microbiology background and ability to handle multiple priorities are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Degree or experience in Microbiology, Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field preferred.
• Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Flexible schedule with occasional early mornings, shift work, and weekends as needed.
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental and microbiological sampling according to EMP.
• Collect, label, document, and manage environmental swabs and samples.
• Perform routine testing including pre-operational, surface, air, water, and compressed air sampling.
• Partner with Production, Maintenance, and Sanitation teams on root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain environmental monitoring documentation and cleaning schedules.
• Monitor microbiological inventory and testing supplies.
• Support customer, regulatory, and third-party audits.
• Participate in food safety, sanitation, microbiology, and capital project meetings.
