Job summary

Great Lakes Cheese Co. in Wisconsin seeks a Food Safety and Quality Assurance Manager to develop and maintain policies to ensure compliance with local, state, federal and industry standards.

The FSQA Manager will provide oversight to the FSQA Supervisor and Technicians on all shifts, and support training and competency in all food safety and quality trainings for the factory team. The role leads the FSQA department, drives SQF compliance, CAPA and root cause analysis, handles supplier concerns,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Quality related field or commensurate experience.
• 5 years of Quality management experience or more.
• 5 years of lab experience or more.
• Proficient in problem solving, Root Cause Analysis tools and CAPA process.
• SQF certified.
• PCQI certified.
• HACCP certified.
• Must be legally authorized to work for a company in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead the FSQA department in the efforts to ensure raw materials and packaged products meet GLC and customer specifications.
• Develop, implement, review and maintain programs that support food safety fundamentals in cooperation with corporate FSQA management
• Communicate to relevant personnel all information essential to the effective implementation and maintenance of quality audit processes such as the SQF System.
• Drive and manage corrective and preventive actions related to the food safety and quality programs.
• Training of all organization personnel to drive competency in execution of functions affecting product legality, safety and customer specifications.
• Coordinate and respond to customer concerns related to food safety and product quality.
• All GLC employees are expected to perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures.
