ROLE OVERVIEW

The Front Desk Associate is the first and last touchpoint for every member experience. This role is responsible for delivering a premium, welcoming environment while supporting studio operations, driving membership sales, and ensuring the studio is maintained to the highest standard. This individual is passionate about health and wellness, has enthusiasm and comes in with a positive mindset into the studio to be a team player. Willing and eager to take FS8 classes to understand the product, so that selling the product becomes natural.

What you'll do:

• Greet members and guests warmly, create an energizing first impression, and maintain a positive studio atmosphere throughout every shift
• Maintain knowledge of studio membership options, and promotional offers
• Book, reschedule, and follow up on class reservations — proactively ensuring every member gets into their next class
• Handle in-studio membership sign-ups, renewals, and questions about pricing, packages, and class formats
• Sell and assist with FS8 merchandise, keeping the retail area stocked, organized, and visually appealing
• Support social media efforts — capturing studio content, posting Stories, and engaging with the local wellness community online
• Assist with day-to-day administrative tasks including emails, scheduling support, and member communications
• Support Studio Manager to maintain a clean, tidy studio — sweeping, wiping down equipment, restocking supplies, and keeping common areas pristine
• Follow up with clients to present membership packages or class packs
• Be a knowledgeable resource for members and prospects on classes, instructors, and the FS8 method
• Assisting with studio set up and off site events
• Communicating any employee or client complaints and grievances to management, and supporting a timely and appropriate resolution
• Proactively identifying and reporting any visible maintenance or equipment issues to ensure a safe and seamless client experience

• Genuinely passionate about Pilates, fitness, and the wellness space — you live the lifestyle
• A natural communicator who is warm, articulate, and at ease talking with a wide range of people
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks during busy class transitions
• Comfortable and confident on social media platforms (Instagram especially)
• A self-starter who takes initiative and doesn't need to be asked twice
• Sales-minded and excited to share and recommend memberships and merchandise
• Reliable, punctual, and proud of the space you help run

Requirements:

• Availability for a minimum of 15 hours per week, including consistent weekend shifts (Saturday and/or Sunday availability is required)
• Previous customer service, retail, or front desk experience preferred
• Experience with booking or studio management software a plus (Mindbody, etc.)
• Interest or background in Pilates, yoga, or group fitness strongly preferred
• Basic computer proficiency and comfort with digital communication tools
