Since opening over 60 years ago, UF Health Leesburg Hospital has built its reputation as a leading medical center and comprehensive healthcare provider in the region. It also provides world-class orthopedics, minimally invasive robotic-assisted surgery, emergency care, stroke treatment, labor & delivery, and more.
Primary Functions: The Cook is responsible for providing high-quality service by preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving, and serving various foods such as soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts. This includes operating kitchen equipment, measuring ingredients, preparing baked goods, and ensuring adherence to safety and food handling standards. The Cook may also prepare meals for special diets and sanitize work areas.
Additional Duties: May include filling in for other positions, assisting with supply requisitions, and other tasks assigned by supervisors. This is a PRN position with variable shifts.
Education: High School Diploma/GED. Previous experience as a Cook in a restaurant setting is highly preferred.
