Job summary

Bickel's Snack Foods in West Manchester Township, Pennsylvania, is seeking a dependable fryer operator to support our production line. You will wash, grind, sheet, fry, and season products, and ensure the fryer operates at the correct temperature with proper oil level.

You must follow GMPs, food safety and quality policies, keep accurate production records, and be able to read and follow simple instructions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; or 1–2 years' snack food experience.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to follow simple, detailed instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate fryer properly to ensure quality products.
• Wash, grind, sheet, fry, and season production lines.
• Maintain correct fryer temperature and oil level.
• Keep accurate production records of materials used.
• Follow GMPs, food safety and quality policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Operates the Fryer properly to ensure quality products are produced; and maintains accurate records of materials used.Responsible for washing, grinding, sheeting, frying, and seasoning the production lines.Responsible for the proper thickness, oil content, seasoning coverage and grind relating to product quality.Responsible for operating the fryer properly.Ensures the proper temperature is maintained in the fryer.Maintains the proper oil level in the fryerReplaces filter paper as required.Keeps accurate production records of materials used.Responsible for following food safety, legality and quality policies and procedures within the scope of the job responsibilities such as but not limited to: GMP’s, food safety, product quality, food security, plant security, etc.Adheres to common safety practices/guidelines.Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.High School Diploma or GED; or 1-2 years’ experience working in the snack food industryAbility to read, write and understand the English languageBasic math skillsAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved instructions
