Job summary

Cajuns Fabulous Fried Chicken Inc in Gulfport, MS is seeking a motivated Fry Cook to join our busy kitchen team. You will prepare and fry a variety of items, uphold food safety standards, and keep a clean work area while delivering quality dishes to our customers.

This role requires teamwork, reliability, and the ability to work weekends and holidays. Prior fry cook experience is preferred, and a passion for cooking helps you thrive in our fast-paced, high-energy environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a fry cook or similar kitchen role preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for cooking.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent is a plus.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of fried chicken, fish, livers and chicken tenders, okra, etc. to perfection.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met at all times.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift.
• Assist in inventory management and ingredient preparation.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
• Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure quality and consistency.
• Follow recipes and portion control guidelines accurately.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding to special requests and dietary needs.
