Job summary

Custom Staffing partners with a Marion-based manufacturer to recruit a hands-on QC Inspector – FRP for fiberglass-reinforced plastic piping and components.

The ideal candidate reads mechanical drawings and laminate schedules, inspects resin batches and cure logs, and maintains strict adherence to quality specifications, safety procedures, and documentation. This is a direct-hire, on-site role with predictable schedule and potential overtime.

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years in FRP/composites quality inspection.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and cure specifications.
• Inspect layups, resin batches, and dimensional tolerances.
• Familiar with resin systems and catalysts (MEKP).
• Experience documenting NCRs and inspection reports.
• Strong attention to detail and safety around chemicals.

Responsibilities

• Inspect FRP piping and components to ensure conformance.
• Verify resin mix sheets and cure logs.
• Document issues and stop-work when deviations occur.
• Maintain accurate inspection records with photos.
