Job summary

BPP Mfg is seeking a QC Inspector to oversee in-process quality checks at one facility (Fabrication or Assembly) and to float as needed for coverage. The role includes inspecting incoming materials, documenting nonconformances, and performing final QC checks before shipment.

The ideal candidate will read drawings, use basic measurement tools, and maintain accurate inspection records while working across both shop environments with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in quality inspection in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and gauges.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process quality checks at defined critical points in the production workflow at the primary assigned facility.
• Verify dimensional, visual, and workmanship requirements against drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
• Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming product and apply hold tags as needed.
• Record inspection results and maintain documentation; escalate NCRs to QC leadership.
• Support incoming material inspections and verify COCs and supplier documentation.
• Float to secondary facility as workload requires and ensure inspection continuity.
• Document NCRs and contribute to data collection for quality cost baseline.
