Job summary

Golden State Foods – Opelika, AL is seeking an entry-level meat-packing worker for 1st shift. You will unpack, inspect, and convey 60-pound meat blocks, ensuring safety and quality while following all plant rules. The role requires passing trainings and maintaining a clean, compliant work area.

This full-time position offers a $16.00 per hour pay rate and eligibility for Perfect Attendance. You will operate in a fast-paced environment and support continuous production in a food manufacturing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to safety, food safety, quality and legal compliance.
• Follow environmental, health and safety standards in the facility.
• Must be able to pass required trainings/certifications.
• Sanitarily unpack 60-pound frozen meat blocks.
• Visually inspect blocks for quality using a metal detector.
• Place blocks on conveyor to be ground.
• Maintain supply of blocks needed for production.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Document completed work as directed by supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
