Job summary

Qualifications

• Effective communication skills.
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Management experience preferred.
• Retail experience.
• Second language (speaking, reading and/or writing).

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Communicate department information to associates.
• Collaborate with associates to meet store goals.
• Establish performance targets for department and empower staff to meet them.
• Develop scheduling to manage customer volume during hours of operation.
• Train associates and participate in performance reviews.
• Adhere to all laws and company guidelines.
• Create an inviting environment for customers seeking help and answers.
• Know products in the department and respond to questions.
• Plan and supervise inventory and pricing changes.
• Assist management with budgeting and financial reporting.
• Ensure food safety regulations are followed.
