Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Frozen Foods Clerk to deliver prompt, friendly service and keep the department organized and safe. You will rotate and replenish merchandise, greet customers, and assist them in finding products while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and temperature checks on cases.

In this role you’ll work with store teams to ensure accurate displays, handle unloading and stocking duties, and follow company policies for personal hygiene and dress.

Qualifications

• Ability to solve practical problems with many variables and interpret instructions.
• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Ability to guide people and provide basic direction, including data handling and posting information.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service; treat customers as the most important people in the store.
• Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner in department or store areas.
• Assists customers by escorting to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading/unloading heavy items, and noting customer requests.
• Answers the telephone promptly and provides helpful service to callers, including taking orders.
• Works with coworkers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
• Rotates and replenishes merchandise and ensures highest quality standards are met.
• Maintains department cleanliness; cleans cases and floors; ensures neat displays with visible labels.
