Job summary

ShopRite of Rockaway in New Jersey is seeking a dedicated team member for our Frozen Foods department. You will price, stock, rotate merchandise, and maintain a neat, clean, and visually appealing section while following company policy and safety guidelines.

You will work with customers, handle deliveries, and perform duties to support great service and accurate pricing. This role emphasizes teamwork, safety, efficiency, and learning merchandising and display practices.

Qualifications

• Read, write, speak English.
• Perform basic math.
• Stand/walk for shifts.
• Lift 25 lbs, up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Work with fresh/dried/processed products; avoid allergen issues.
• Climb a ladder to retrieve items.
• Work in refrigerated coolers and high humidity areas.
• Adapt to varying temperatures and dust.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.
• Work cooperatively with others.
• Maintain punctual attendance and time policy adherence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sanitation and QA standards in the Frozen Foods department.
• Operate a baler and compactor.
• Monitor temperatures in storage areas and display cases; report problems promptly.
• Stock and rotate frozen merchandise across cases and displays.
• Use handheld terminal to manage inventory and orders.
• Keep equipment in good condition and report issues.
• Communicate within the department and with the company.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
• Sanitize surfaces and equipment per sanitation standards.
• Price items accurately and ensure attractive, signed displays.
