Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Frozen Food Clerk to keep all store frozen cases stocked and clean during business hours. You will assist customers, ensure accurate pricing, and maintain a friendly, energetic demeanor while adhering to Frozen Department guidelines.

The role requires stocking and organizing frozen products, inspecting quality and temperature, and supporting the department to deliver a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age; possess a high school diploma or GED
• High school diploma or equivalency degree
• Preferred 1–2 years grocery retail experience in Frozen department processes and procedures
• Must maintain the highest level of customer service at all times
• Must be able to support and contribute to team goals
• Must have basic knowledge of math, weights, and measures
• Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates

Responsibilities

• Ensures cleanliness of frozen cases, storage area, and work area for safety
• Stocks frozen cases with presentation, facing, filling and organization
• Examines rotation of all frozen products for expired stock
• Assists customers with purchases, information, and product selection; cross-sell where appropriate
• Receives, inspects, and logs products for shipment, temperature and quality
• Monitors point-of-purchase signs and promotional materials
• Operates equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, pallet jacks and hand trucks
• Uses scales and weight measures to weigh and label products
• Maintains high product knowledge and preparation
• Inspects department for organization and cleanliness
• Performs other duties as assigned
