Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is hiring a Dairy Clerk to keep dairy and frozen cases stocked and clean during business hours, while assisting customers with purchases and product information. The role requires following Dairy department guidelines and maintaining a friendly, energetic demeanor.

Responsibilities include stocking, rotating stock, weighing and labeling, and ensuring pricing accuracy. A strong emphasis on safety, cleanliness, and teamwork is essential for this fast-paced grocery

Qualifications

• Be at least 16 years of age.
• Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule that changes, including night, weekends, and holidays.

• Have a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
• Have good communication skills; and the ability to take direction and participate in a team environment.
• Be able to perform repetitious activities, and can multi-task, prioritize and stay organized.
• Requires transferring boxes/crates weighing 40–60 lbs., for a distance up to 10 feet for 6–50 hours without mechanical assistance.
• Be able to walk up to 5 miles in an 8 hour shift.
• Must use a 2 step stool to access shelves for up to 1 step per 8 hours.
• Be able to walk up to 3 miles per 8 hour shift.
• Adhere to all safety, health, OSHA and Weights and Measures regulations.
• Be able to perform other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Ensures cleanliness of dairy cases, storage area, and work area for safety.
• Stocks dairy cases with presentation, facing, filling, and organization as per Dairy Department schematics.
• Examines rotation of dairy products for expired stock and discarding outdated items.
• Assists customers with purchases, information, and product selection; includes selling and cross-selling.
• Receives, inspects, and logs products for shipment, temperature, and quality.
• Monitors point of purchase signs and promotional material.
• Operates equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Uses scales to weigh and label products accurately.
• Sustains product knowledge and preparation; walks department for cleanliness.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Team members under 18 are restricted from certain tasks.
