Job summary

Ridleys-Family-Markets-Inc is seeking a store team member in Utah to support stocking duties and department leadership. You will maintain stock levels, assist with scheduling, and uphold store standards while delivering friendly customer service.

The role requires basic math skills, a high school diploma or GED, and forklift/pallet jack certification when applicable. Prior experience with inventory and teamwork is preferred. This position is full-time and on-site.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

8. Plans out work schedules with a direct supervisor and ensures they complement both the department and the rest of the store.
9. Ensures prompt return of product and maintains compliance with company policies regarding proper receipt of incoming supplier products.
10. Possesses a good understanding of the meaning of sales, gross profit, labor and inventory and its relationship to the effective operation of the department.
11. Help Maintain adequate and appropriate department records at all times
12. If supervising team members, provides them with the proper training and works with direct supervisor ensuring evaluations and any disciplinary concerns are handled properly and timely.
13. Stays aware of the surrounding competitive market and promptly reacts to product and price concerns.

Requirements

CERTIFICATES/LICENSES:

Certification required for operation of forklift and/or pallet jack.

Other city, county, state, or federal certifications may be required.

COMMUNICATION:

Ability to write, speak, hear, and understand the spoken word to respond promptly to pages, requests, team members and guests.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals.

COMPUTER:

Basic computer skills preferred.

EDUCATION:

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or related job experience and/or training are preferred.

Basic math skills required.

An understanding of gross projections, transmittals, weekly summaries, invoices, transfers, labor goals, inventory, and other paperwork as assigned by store management is preferred but can be taught while working.

EQUIPMENT:

Required to use or operate pallet jack, forklift, box cutters, two-wheeler, six-wheeler, baler, ladder, etc.

EXPERIENCE

Previous stocking experience preferred.

Previous leadership skills preferred.

MINIMUM AGE:

18 years of age.

REASONABILITY:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form or when helping resolve a team member or guest concern.
