Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a team member for the Perishable Department to deliver fast, friendly, and accurate customer service and maintain department standards. You will help maximize sales and minimize shrink through proper practices.

Responsibilities include receiving deliveries, stocking meat, dairy, and frozen items, rotating stock, and ensuring compliance with food safety guidelines. Training includes CBT and on-the-job instruction, wearing the required uniform.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service in the Perishable Department.
• Receive deliveries, rotate and stock merchandise, and ensure proper storage areas.
• Maintain product levels in meat, lunchmeat, dairy, ice cream, and related categories.
• Follow policies, guidelines, and standard practice to minimize shrink.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with name badge and follow safety procedures.
• Understand and use company tools like ACIS and CAO for inventory and ordering.
