Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience or qualifying education in fire service procedures and engine operation.
• Knowledge of NWCG core requirements FFT1 and S-290.
• Must meet physical and background requirements per agency standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive wildfire engine and pump during suppression and prescribed fire.
• Position and deploy personnel and equipment for effective protection of values at risk.
• Maintain engine and equipment and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Participate in training, safety sessions, and fire critiques.
